My 5th Star vs Follow Up Boss

Two good answers to two different questions.

Follow Up Boss is a well-established per-seat CRM built around agent follow-up and calling, with a large integration ecosystem. My 5th Star is a flat-fee AI assistant that answers the enquiries itself, qualifies them and keeps the CRM current, and that you command by voice note.

If you have agents who will work a pipeline and you want a strong system for them to work it in, Follow Up Boss is a serious product. If the problem is that leads arrive at night on WhatsApp and nobody answers until morning, that is the problem we built for.

When to choose Follow Up Boss

Straightforwardly: if you have a team of agents who already work leads by phone and you want a proven pipeline to hold them, plus the widest integration ecosystem in the category and years of accumulated best practice around it. It is a better fit than us for a brokerage that wants humans doing the calling with software supporting them, and for anyone whose lead sources plug into it out of the box.

When to choose My 5th Star

When the leak is first response, not organisation. If enquiries arrive on messaging apps outside office hours, if nobody is going to update the CRM after a viewing, and if you would rather say "post this listing and tell me who went quiet" than click through screens, that is what this does. Flat fee, so it does not get more expensive as the team grows.

Can you use both?

Yes, and some agencies will want to: let the assistant own first response and qualification on messaging channels, and keep your existing pipeline for the human work. Ask us and we will be honest about whether that is worth the plumbing for your setup.

Where these figures come from. Everything above about another company is taken from publicly available pages, checked August 2026, and is described as it was published — not as a claim of ours. Pricing and features change; check the vendor's own site before deciding.

Questions

Is My 5th Star a replacement for Follow Up Boss?

It can be, for a small agency whose main problem is unanswered leads. For a larger team already working a pipeline in Follow Up Boss, it is more often complementary — the assistant answers and qualifies, your people close.

Which is cheaper?

It depends on team size. Per-seat pricing scales with headcount; our flat €490 per month does not. At one or two users a per-seat plan can be cheaper; the lines cross quickly as a team grows.

Does Follow Up Boss have voice commands?

Voice interaction is available through third-party tools in its integrations ecosystem rather than being part of the product itself, according to their integrations directory and those vendors' own pages, checked August 2026.
